BOOTS ON THE GROUND 2.0 – EVENTS
The Emergency Relief Program is an amazing opportunity for the farmers and ranchers nationwide. ERP covers losses to crops, trees, bushes, and vines due to a qualifying natural disaster event. The main goal is to help farmers and ranchers which have suffered any loss due to natural disasters during the calendar years 2020 and 2021. As an organization who represents Latino farmers and ranchers, its multidisciplinary approach offers a professional team able to provide the requested assistance.
Latino Farmers and Ranchers International, LFRI, is and has always been focused on supporting underserved farmers and ranchers who have been historically discriminated against. Hence, its slogan: To Protect, Preserve and Serve. LFRI represents Latino farmers, ranchers and producers throughout the U.S. We have served providing both advocacy and technical support. In some areas, we have been the only source of support to small and developing farmers and to the impoverished communities where many reside. Because of these needs, the LFRI has transitioned from only being a national organization to expanding internationally with the administrative capacity to serve our members with boots on the ground.
We know that one of the best ways to achieve the established objectives and to provide the required technical assistance is boots on the ground. As part of the ERP-2, LFRI has attended or hosted the following events:
April 27, 2023 – Corrales, New Mexico:

May 4, 2023 – Atrisco, New Mexico:

May 5, 2023 – Antonito, Colorado:

May 10, 2023 – South Valley, New Mexico:

May 20, 2023 – TAOS, New Mexico:

June 23, 2023 – TAOS, New Mexico:

July 15, 2023 – Bismarck, North Dakota:

July 21, 2023 – Washington, D.C:

July 29, 2023, Las Vegas, New Mexico:

LFRI will continue with a boots-on-the-ground approach, reaching as many farmers and ranches as possible; implementing different strategies to achieve the goals.
